Components

OpenRa is open source real-time strategy game engine for early Westwood games such as Command & Conquer: Red Alert written in C# using SDL and OpenGL. Runs on Windows, Linux, *BSD and Mac OS X.

Proposal

In this suggestion; i have ideas for a game called OpenRa.This games purpose is to concuqer refineries and with the earnings of the refineries create new units,so adding featured below would improve the gameplay and quality of the project;

  • Carrier Bridges
  • Press To Talk During Multiplayer
  • Custom Codes

Sea Oil Ships To Explore The Oil Underseas

This games main purpose is to control the oil and earn money from it.While earning the money from refinneries,armies can create new unites for their army in attack and defense sections.The refinneries can only be found at overland,with adding this feature there will be ships to research the oil in the seas and a new section in the game will begin.

If this feature will be added,there must be a shipyards to build these ships too.When oil research ships find oil,the army will earn a lot more money from it.

Artillery

This weapons will be used in a short range war.If the armies doesn't wants to use any more units and shoot the enemy from far away,they can use artillery.Artillery weapons will have range and power and according to their strength they will cost lower or higher,for example ;

Short Range Artillery : 1-2 gamescreen shooting range,minimal damage,1000 credits

Medium Range Artillery : 2-4 gamescreen shooting range,medium damage,2500 credits

Long Range Artillery : 4-7 gamescreen shooting range,maximum damage,5000 credits

Carrier Bridges

Carrier bridges will help land vehicles to cross over the sea.This bridges should have a high cost and must not be easy to create or have them.In the picture below,carrier bridges will be seen.

Press To Talk During Multiplayer

During the multiplayer game,players can chat to each other in the chat channel.However they can't talk to each other,adding voice chat feature will increase the gameplay and players will click only a button to talk each other.

Custom Codes

If the coder playing this game and they would like to improve the gameplay for theirself or other players,they should be able to add custom codes in the game.For example,if the coder wants to create his own map,they will make a "map editor" and implement it in their game.If they want to share it with the game owners,they can contact with them via Github.

Adding "Implement code" or "custom code" features will give a players who knows coding a infinite ideas and will help the game develop very fastly and better.

Benefits

Sea Oil Ships To Explore Oil Underseas,artillery and carries bridges will improve the gameplay and make users have more fun with more options.Since OpenRa is a strategy game,all of these features will make users think more strategically because with these additions they must have think about land and sea.

Allowing the implement users their own code will have more coders to play the game and they will improve the gameplay according to their imagination and skills.With allowing this,players who implement their codes can take the game in a whole different level.

I liked the custom code idea but the explanation you made is poor, ideas like this need a detailed explanation.

the press to talk idea was already suggested by you here: https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@melaffection/addition-of-sign-up-button-voice-press-to-talk-ability-to-create-heros-features, suggesting the same idea for different projects is not acceptable here in utopian.

Hello @melaffection,thank you for your contribution through Utopian.I like the way you contribute in this project.Your ideas are great and would have great impact on the project if would implemented.Realism and seafight ideas would really improve the efficiency and gameplay i totally agree with that however,i do not think that dungeon protector idea would have a great impact in the game but adding special dungeon sounds might be interesting.However,you should have explained about what kind of sounds and how it will work during the game.
