Game Restarts When Screen is Rotated

Project Name: Just Chess
Expected Behavior: When the screen is rotated during a game, it does not have to restart the game it is expected that the game should be continued.
Actual Behavior: Every time the screen is rotated or the orientation of the screen is changed to landscape the game is restarted or one is brought to he beginning.
How to Reproduce:
Download and install the application from F-droid.
Launch the application
Start the game
Change the screen orientation to landscape and turn the the device.
- Device: Android version 6.0
- Just Chess: version 1.7
