Minecolonies - Website
Hey all,
So, I work with a team working on a mod called MineColonies for Minecraft. My role is Web Development.
I began when I saw the original Enjin site, and thought I would like to help out and spruce the site up, so I designed a basic homepage for the guys to see and spoke to them about it and got invited in.
At this point, one of our artists (D3miurge) designed a poster to help promote the mod, and I loved the art he'd used, so I decided it would be great to make use of his awesome assets and have the website match the theme of the mod itself, which is when I design this concept on photoshop:
Then got round to coding it all, once it was all done the original was looking just like the concept above. since then I have added various features, such as higher quality images from our artist, as well as some links to our social pages, and it's now looking like you see below, and is public here: https://www.minecolonies.com/
Ontop of this I have added an about the mod page, which was heavily based on the poster that I spoke of earlier, following the same designs to keep the consistency, and also introduced a forum, which I will speak of in a seperate post.
There are many great things still planned for this website, some of which I shall make posts for when they are ready, but some features will include a schematic repository type page, where people can upload their schematics to share with other people. Also plans to rework the about page to include much more information as well as more media, and change the team section to have it's own page. And last but not least, a page to help recruit people to our team and a store for you to buy all sorts of MineColonies goodies!
