RE: Food That Kills. Dr. Klapper Explains Why Common Meat Diets Cause Heart Disease & Why Humans Are, Essentially, Anatomical Herbivores.

in #vegan6 years ago

I tried to skim through the video, and it took me less than 5 seconds to find this lie:

When coming from a doctor it is not only dishonest and indecent, it is also criminal.
If you believe it then you should also preach against coconut oil.
Eric Berg addressed this argument, but I currently have not the link to it.
This is the reason, which I believe, while still not being sure at it:

I linked to the second in the video when I found him lying with a smaller effort than I thought I would need.
I also wrote that Eric Berg addressed this issue.

You have written that you have a found a lie, but not in any way described the alleged lie here.

IDNK how I replied to myself instead of to you before.

When I play the video, it plays at the start - it appears steemit ignores time cues in the youtube links. So I have no idea what you are referring to as being a lie.

steemit is so garbage.
I remember when busy lacked the comments section.
Now it it seems to lack the replies section and night mode.
And it lost me a thread 2 days ago.
busy is garbage too.
I just checked, and busy does preserve the video timing.
You could also open/view my comment/reply from a blockchain explorer and copy paste the link/url from there.

The time link opens at him stating that animal fat is solid at body temperature and plant oils are not, is that the point you are referring to here?

Yes.
Oils inside the body are chelated or packed or whatever it is called by lipoproteins or something, and being in the blood is not like being out in the air.
Different conditions.
Temperature is not everything, and even temperature inside the body is usually higher than outside of it.
And even when it is hot outside, the temperature in the body is slightly higher than it is in the body, when it is cold outside.
No way that I know it and a doctor does not.
Again, listen to what Eric Berg said about coconut oil and saturated fats.
Or do you claim that coconut oil is harmful because it is solid in room temperature?
Coconut oil is vegetable oil too, BTW, and it is solid too in room temperature,.

As I recall, earlier in the video, he shows a pair of vials of blood whereby one has fat floating on it, which was from a patient who had eaten a lot of animal fat prior to giving the sample. He speaks at length about regularly noticing this in his work and noting that these patients were typically coming in for heart related surgery due to clogged arteries.

His point in general, I think, is that according to his research and experience as a Doctor, the plant based oils are less of a problem than the animal fats. Which is generally concurred by other researchers too.

It is worth pointing out though that as Paul Kerton points out in the following video, Dr. Caldwell Essylstein (who has been proven in peer reviewed journals to have reversed heart disease through nutrition) classes all oils as problems, including coconut oil:

I can point to numerous modern researchers and specialists that class coconut oil as a problem - having reversed their previous advice that it was healthy. I don't think they say this because it is solid at room temperature however.

I think it is a stretch to say that Dr. Klapper is lying, here. It is true that his words are not perfect however. The majority of plant oils are liquid at body temperature and animal fat does not melt at body temperature, even on a hot day.
