Tropic: The lightweight vegan travel shoe on Kickstarter
It's a mash-up of a sports trainer, a water shoe and a hiking shoe designed for every kind of adventure.
Sometimes I like to browse Kickstarter to see what cool new products people have created and a few days ago, this one caught my eye. The 'Ultimate Travel Shoe' by Spanish company Tropic. Designed to be the ultimate all in one shoe for travellers, it claims to be lightweight, comfortable, breathable, anti-odour, quick-drying AND durable. A mash-up of a sports trainer, a water shoe and a hiking shoe.

Apparently, it's for everything from the beach and the sea to the city and the trail and, from first glance, I like the style of the shoe and the concept is great. It's super convenient and saves space when packing! But given that it's just launched on Kickstarter, with expected delivery in September, there's no way of discovering if it lives up to the claims.
I mean developing a water-friendly shoe that you can also hike in, is a pretty tall order. That being said I admire Tropic for trying and the fact these are marketed as vegan-friendly gets a big thumbs up!
If you're interested take a look at their Kickstarter page. The brand has already exceeded their goal by £360,000 (at time of publishing) with 41 days still to go. So it appears lots of others agree that this could be game-changing invention!

I recently had to get a pair of orthopedic shoes. I couldn't really tell if they were vegan or not as they only had a picture of them. The ones I got looked a lot like padded converse so I hope they are vegan.
I've had issues with my feet and tight/loose ligaments causing foot pain is why I needed them.
Anyways I love to see more vegan products! I hope you have a great morning @veganadventurist!
Thanks for your comment. That must be really tricky as mainstream footwear is only just catching up to labelling, let alone specialist footwear. I'd recommend writing off to the company if you're concerned, but I'd imagine your choice is really limited.
