PANAS Project: An initiative to boost the growth of the Venezuelan community

in #venezuela7 years ago

We proudly present our initiative to help the Venezuelan community grow even more in Steemit, not only in terms of number of users, but also in influence.

Current situation of Venezuelan community in Steem

The things for the Spanish-speaking community have been improving exponentially in this 2017, since the launch of the @cervantes project the rewards for writers, of one of the most beautiful languages in the world, have improved incredibly thus catapulting the almost null activity in Spanish in Steem.

From this point (January 2017) the Spanish-speaking community has grown so much, that different sub-communities have been appearing. Among those ones of the greatest growth and can be considered one of the largest and most active, is without doubt the Venezuelan community.

In this sense, despite the great effort made by different curations groups, and although the visibility we have managed to give the label #venezuela, we believe that the quality content published by the creole authors is still undervalued.

In January 2017, Venezuelan content was virtually invisible as was the entire Hispanic community

At the beginning of June 2017 (just at the birth of @provenezuela) the picture was not encouraging either.

Of course, we do not deny that there were already Venezuelan authors - including me - receiving a reward for their content, however it is important to note that there was no motivation to publish under the label #venezuela, for many it was not simply profitable.

Thanks to the support of many people and the work of @provenezuela to give them the necessary visibility, even in the Anglo community, to our content; To this day we can see the following panorama:

The data speak for themselves, in little more than a month Venezuela already appears on the map of Steem.

What is PANAS Project??

As we mentioned, much of the Venezuelan content is of high quality, comparable even to those authors who appear in Steemit's trending, however, payments for most are still far below what it could become.

What does the word panas mean?: In Venezuela is a word of constant colloquial use. It means FRIEND, COMRADE. Ex: Hello, pana. That is not like that,. My pana. In a corduroy, I'll tell you. I'm going out for a walk with some panas. The director is my pana The Supervisor is my pana. I hurt what happens to you because you are my pana. -Source

With this initiative @provenezuela wants to invite all English and Spanish speaking users to participate in one of the unprecedented collaborative projects for our country, organized independently, ie, without the intervention of any government, company or entity.

What are our goals?

  • Achieving the sustainability of the Venezuelan community on Steem within a year, making the largest number of users can enter the category of "Whales" and "Dolphins". - Multiply the profits of Venezuelan authors who contribute with high quality content.
  • To be able to help other communities or sub-communities in the future also grow.
This idea is basically born of the comment once made me @cryptohustlin on the first point discussed here. The main idea at Steemit is to make all communities self-sustaining.

What method will we use?

  • The curation method will be completely Manual: We will have a team of 2 or 3 people who will be visiting the articles all day and decide whether to vote for them or not. - We will vote for articles that belong to Venezuelan authors. - We will give priority to articles, which according to our curators, are of great quality, i.e, they are original, use a correct writing and spelling, do not contain any type of plagiarism. - We will also give priority to those users who are actively involved in strengthening the Spanish-speaking community in Steem. - We will use a voting strength, for each article, that allows us to reach a balance between the highest possible rewards and the greatest number of users reached. - When we find a new user and he is not complying with some basic criteria in their articles, we will make the respective suggestion in the comments and, if the shift curator decides, can leave a vote with a 1% voting power. - We will deliver daily or weekly micro-reports (to be determined) and monthly macro reports, about ours activities.

How can you join our project?

  • Delegating SP: Delegate Steem Power, means that a part of your influence to vote, you temporarily donate / borrow us. It has the advantage that it would allow us to control the voting strength with which we vote. If you do not know how to do it, here we leave a guide about it: How to Delegate SP.

  • Follow us in Streemian: This is the simplest way, simply follow our voting trail, give a couple of retouching at your liking and you will be automatically voting for every post we vote. Here is one guide of it : guía sobre cómo usar Streemian And I also leave you the direct link to our Trail where you can join us.
Whichever method you choose, you will be immensely helping us and all the excellent community of Venezuelan authors, we will use the trust you give us in the most responsible and efficient way possible.

Synergy.

Of course our work will walk in alliance with the different healing projects that exist on the platform, especially with @cervantes, who has helped us and with @minnowsupport that stands as one of the greatest healing projects in history Of Steemit.

Our idea is to enhance the work they do, this time focusing on the Venezuelan community.

Such approaches in sub-communities are likely to appear in a rapidly growing network, as it will be increasingly difficult for many projects to effectively cover a large number of sub-communities.

Until a new opportunity!
