hyperinflation attacks the pockets of Venezuelans

Living in a country where you need 30 minimum wages a hyperinflation that by the end of 2018 could average 100,000% as estimated by the national assembly, Venezuela is the country with the highest inflation in the world in just two months record a large increase to end of February stood at 4.966% ending April was at 13,000% the monthly rate so far this year is 80.1%.

Now how can Venezuelans do to achieve food in an economy where prices change daily?

With a salary that evaporates like water, increases made by the national executive does not make any significant change in the pockets of the people, since there is hardly a salary increase the price of food and other items soar making it impossible to survive with a minimum salary.

For this reason the citizens have looked for ways to complete their salaries in order to bring food to their homes. We have a portion of the population that takes refuge in the resale of products from the Venezuelan basic basket that, due to their difficult access, because they are regulated by the government, are not found in the supermarkets' showcases, precooked corn flour (bread flour) with a price of 60,000.00 bolivars marked on the package the resellers come to sell it in cash 170,000.00 bolivares, while by bank transfer or debit or credit cards they sell it in 700,000.00 bolivars and this price can also vary daily, a package of rice with a marked price 350,000.00 bolivares, in cash 400,000.00 bolivares, bank transfer and debit and credit cards 1,000,000.00 bolivares, a package of one kilo of pasta 400,000.00 bolivares, in cash in 350,000 , 00 bolivares, in bank transfer and debit or credit cards in a 1,500,000.00 bolivares none of these prices controls them in government, it is a very dynamic market and above all very corrosive for the pockets of Venezuelans all these articles to which I referred are very difficult to access and find them in commercial establishments is almost impossible.

These resellers get all the products in certain commercial establishments to which they are assigned these sales are controlled by government officials the sale is controlled by day assigned by ID numbers depending on the last numbers of the identity document, but the corruption is so great that Resellers per day can spend as many times as they want regardless of their identity card numbers or the amount they acquire.

They will ask why the prices vary if it is in cash or if it is via bank, since the business of the physical sale of the national currency is increased, for a ticket of 100,000.00 bolivares are transferred to the account of the seller 400,000.00 bolivares a percentage of 300% per ticket, this varies according to the states, if they are border states it can reach 600%.

In the municipal markets (places where a group of merchants are concentrated to offer their products) these sites are controlled by the state, but in the same way the increments are daily and the prices vary equally if it is in cash or transfer and cards.

Currently a kilo of tomato is located at 1,500,000.00 and a minimum salary is located 1,000,000.00 this is linked to the food card that is located 1,555,500.00 making a monthly total of 2,555,500.00. Only with the kilo of tomato the Venezuelan loses 57% of the minimum salary to make the purchases of legumes can come to have a cost of 8,000,000.00 Bolivares. One kilo of chicken averages 2,200,000.00, one kilo of meat 3,100,000.00. It is impossible for a Venezuelan to make the purchases of the basic basket with the salary price he holds.

Getting sick in Venezuela is a risk if you do not have the resources to buy imported medicines because there is no national production in the country, an antibiotic for children has a lower cost of 3,000,000.00 and the highest is 8,000,000.00, in adults they are a little more economic, with a lower price of 1,500,000.00 and the highest of 4,500,000.00.

In clothes and footwear the prices are exorbitant a jean pants its lowest cost of 15,000,000.00 and 30,000,000.00, touching the highest in 100,000,000.00. A gentleman's shirt his prices are from 8,000,000.00 for women the price can range between 5,000,000.00 to 9,000,000.00. Sports shoes for both men and women are from 30,000,000.00 lower and its highest price 500,000,000.00.

Venezuelans can not fight against an exorbitant inflation the highest in the world unless they use tricks to have quality of life, in a fight against time the Venezuelan is torn between staying and suffering the hardships of an economy in ruins or leave and look for a future abroad.

How can there be SO MUCH printed money in circulation all over the country all of the time, with the inflation rate going as fast as that , how much money do they need to print and distribute to keep up with the demand?

And where does Simon Bolivar fit in this picture?

I'm sure the anti socialism elite will enjoy to see the Bolivar plummet and see this as a kind of win. It's just horrible.

I try to imagine but for some reason my mind just can not process the extremes.

It is really very complex. In fact, it was not printing new banknotes because of problems that the government maintains with the manufacturing company that is in Canada due to lack of liquidity. The printing has been pralized, now let's see what happens when the new monetary cone begins to circulate. see what changes they produce, in the Simon Bolivar image that was the ticket with the highest denomination before the inflation went off, now there is an equal but a little clearer one. It is difficult to imagine, but it is more complicated to live it. Thanks for your comment
