Sin duda alguna es unos de los bateristas que han influenciado y han marcado un legado impresionante.
Al igual que el baterista Vinnie Colaiuta, Welck siempre a sido una influencia desde mis inicios en el instrumento.
Este vistuoso baterista desarrolló una técnica notable en la batería. tengo todos sus discos, tanto en solitario como en otras bandas (Electric Band, Chick Corea, Michael Camilo y otros......)
