Hello fellow prinsens! In the next few videos, we want to talk about FREEGANISM.
A prinsenly method we’ve been using to reduce environmental harm and gain economic freedom.
A way to save money and our personal time and energy.
And satisfying our basic needs.
Wikipedia defines FREEGANISM as--
“a practice and ideology of limited participation in the conventional economy, and minimal consumption of resources, particularly through recovering wasted goods, like food”!
Even though FREEGANS mostly act outside of the money system, they aren’t lazy.
It takes creative energy to live off of the waste of capitalism.
It’s also fun!
If good food is thrown away each day, why not DUMPSTER DIVE?
If cars have empty seats, why not HITCH HIKE (AUTOSTOP)?
If one’s trash is another’s treasure, why not trade them at a FREE SHOP?
If someone has too many chores and an extra bed, why not host a helper with a WORK EXCHANGE?
If a building has been left empty and unused, why not make a nice SQUAT out of it?
And giving GIFTS is a pleasure that inspires others to do the same, so WHY NOT?
There’s no reason WHY NOT, once we see how much is wasted every day, By the greed to get more than we need.
WHY NOT wake up to what we really need?
