Blockchain Game! Axie Infinity!

A couple of weeks ago I was hanging out in @ericwilson 's live stream and he was playing some new game called Axie Infinity. My first reaction was :o.O

Well, hey, sometimes those browser battle games can be fun so I wasn't gonna knock it. Well, turns out it's an ERC20 game on the Ethereum blockchain. I'm all for blockchain games, so I started to poke around. It reminded me a lot of Crypto Kitties but better. With more meaning to it. So a few nights ago, I was hanging out in @ericwilson's stream again and axieinfinity showed up. Offered him an axie, with a 2nd one to give away. "This is my chance", I thought.

So I joined the raffle for a free axie. To my amazement, I won! So once I had an Axie, I wondered how easily I was going to be able to check out the game with just one Axie, and as I suspected, I just couldn't do much with just one Axie. Jihoz was in his chat, one of the Axie Infinity team members, and he told me to PM him on Discord and he would hook me up with 2 more axie so I can start battling. I was like :O

So I quickly PM'd him. When he said he was going to hook me up, he wasn't lying. Apparently there are "Seasonal" Axie's that you can buy with MEO tokens. Spending the MEO tokens requires gas that I didn't have. Do you know what this dude did for me? He sent me 10 MEO tokens, which was enough to redeem two "Season 2" Axie's which are more or less limited. Once season 3 begins, there will not be any more Season 2 Axie's sold. This excited me a bit!

When it came to my lack of gas, I could have just sent some to my wallet to pay for gas (I do have Eth, afterall) but he went ahead and sent me 0.01 eth to cover the gas! I was blown away by his generosity and I quickly claimed my 2 axie's. So now I have 3 and I'm ready for battle. This is what I'm streaming tonight! I love me some good ol' fashioned blockchain games and having so much more meaning than crypto kitties, my lone-cryptokitty will forever be alone.

First things first, there's a bit of a learning curve, so I'll be reading up on some guides as I get started! Would be nice to make a bunch of Eth from this game. We'll see how it goes! I heard a certain Steem Monsters dev has a bunch of axie's and land. Tells me I should probably get me some land too....
