Welcome to Part-10 of our Poultry Farming Business update on @Dtube. Let's watch the video to get more update and here are more details. We have got expected weight so far and would like to wait around 2 weeks to send them to the market. But we are expecting the price of the chicken will be higher too. Till now the price of the chicken per KG is around 1.18 USD as we will sell as a whole seller. Whereas it was around 1.60 USD last time so far I can remember but our average weight was not satisfactory. My brother is worried about the price as you know, after doing a lot of hard work, the market price makes him unhappy.
The chicken in my hand got weight around 0.900 kilograms. It is a good size already and ready for sale. But we don't want to sale right now. Their lifetime will be just 30-40 days and hope they are enjoying their days.
Recently we changed their litter. They got new paddy husk and wooden powder which will boost their growth too. It will be with them for the rest of the days and will not be changed. But maybe we will change some areas where they have more gathering and wet litter.
We have around 1450 chicken left till to date after some death. @kenny-crane and I invested for 250 chickens for the poultry farm. We have not faced any loss yet and we expect to have continuous profit as well. In Sylhet, CPA control price of the chicken. They grow more than 2 Lac chickens on their farm and thus we can't compete with them and their profit margin also good. If they stop selling, the price goes up and we get some good price.
In the @Dtube video, you will watch how I was working on last night. As I can't give time daily because of my other responsibilities with @SchoolForSDG4 and @WomenEmpowerment, I try to work in the evening mostly. In the video, you will also see that I am measuring a weight of a chicken and how I am allocating foods and water. I mixed big size and small size feed for the chicken so they can eat both sized feeds and be habituated with bigger feed. You will also watch how the chickens are drinking and eating. We are planning to expand there space again.
