Hike Up Mount Wells / My Stab At The #AutomaticWin @Actifit Challenge - D00k13 Digest #137
What up my Steemians. welcome to the @D00k13 Digest, this video I go for a hike up Mount Wells close to my house and man what a view from the top. I was taking the opportunity to stab at the #AutomaticWin challenge by @wil.metcalfe 10k steps by 10am using the @Actifit mobile app, though I fell short I am a man of my word and I told him I would post the vlog of my attempt. I purchases some new accessories for my GoPro to make this vlog much easier to record, head strap, chest strap, 128gb memory card, and extra batteries. So glad I did get the accessories but I know now I must aim my camera a little higher for better footage while climbing the steep parts of the trail. I recorded the whole thing start to finish and included 99% of my footage in this vlog, on 3x fast forward for the climbing parts but slowed it down while I was speaking and showing the views. My first massive project I have edited, my computer did not like it, with well over an hour of footage I wanted to see how much I could compress the video and still make something watchable. Just sit back, relax, listen to the beats and enjoy the climb, the view from the top made the entire project worth while for me even though I fell short of the #AutomaticWin challenge.
Furthermore this video will mark the first of my videos being cross posted to YouTube on a regular basis! I am doing this for three reasons:
- Obviously to make a name for myself as I am a regular creator I should get some following on YouTube but DTube will always be my first place of upload as I am a Steemit loyalist
- I also wish to promote Steemit on the MS social media, helping to onboard new users while raising awareness for the platform and furthermore challenging myself on a new front of promotion videos rather than just a simple vlog.
- The last reason is for in post playability reasons, currently DTube does not offer in post playable links even if you copy the link from your previous post it will always take you away from the post to watch the video. I hope in the future DTube will address this issue and allow links to play in post the same way YouTube videos will but till then I will be using my YouTube video links for referencing in future posts allowing for playability of the video without leaving the original post.

PS, I had intended to put this video up yesterday but while rendering my computer crashed and I had to restart the process over which on the second run I selected a video quality to large for upload on DTube SMH, waiting on the third run I fell asleep and missed my Actifit post SMH. I intended to link the YouTube video in my Actifit post proving the process of cross promoting so I will do that for today's actifit post. Though my activity count will be much lower for today and not related to the video I am a man of my word, if I say it I mean to do it!

Alright guys sorry it seems this video is having playability issues, I am currently uploading a copy to YouTube as promised and will add that link once it is completed. As for DTube playability it seems as if the IPFS network is having issues and I believe we must just wait for it to stabilize!
