yeh Im also a run shoot everything thing.. I almost always am unprepared cos of the lack of time haha and when I actually do get time im like crap what should I do today haha.. goals are always good! I want to eventually use my dslr too! it's just really hard atm - takes more time to film And edit hahaha.... but I LOVE it.. and I wish someone could shoot Me with that camera but noone can do it atm.. so maybe I'll shoot my kid later =P

Just takes practice, I used to always just use a GoPro or point and shoot to save hassle, but eventually started to forced myself to use my dslr/mirrorless cameras. I actually only like other people to shoot me if I can’t get the shot myself, otherwise I just want to do it all lol 😂

Haha yeh I want to do it all myself too! But frustrating cos like have to keep checking if the camera is in focus and whether it’s cutting my face off (even happened with iPhone recording lol but dslr takes longer lol) I’ll get there eventually but any tips??

Depends what camera you are using. On my a6300 I usually have it set to continuous af and wide with face detection on and that keeps me in focus most of the time. Or in this video it lost focus and switched from me to the computer in the background when I lent over and did something on it. So I changed to zone focus and set the zone to where my face was as I wouldn’t really be moving. Guess it really just means the more used to using a camera the better you understand what works and what doesn’t 🤣😂 I use an app on my phone called filmic pro when I’m setting up to help check my exposure as it lets me use false colour to see my exposure. And just getting used to framing etc

Wow so high tech! My camera ain’t smart can’t detect faces.. but iPhone can haha but sometimes it still blurs me! In my last music video i used the footage anyway and masked it with a grainy filter hahaha
