RE: Vocab-ability–136 (maniac = crazed person, lunatic) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. The pyromaniac and the kleptomaniac joined efforts in a crime spree lasting two weeks before being arrested by the police; the latter broke into cars to steal valuables, while the former set fire to the vehicles.

  2. Being constantly hounded by delusions of grandeur, the megalomaniac dressed up in the robes of a Chinese emperor and stood in front of the main gate of China's Forbidden City during the country's National Day.

  3. The nymphomaniac found it difficult to reconcile her deep love for her husband with her numerous affairs behind his back, and was constantly plagued by a palpable sense of guilt.
