"MY VOCAB PRACTICE."

  1. Contradict.
    We found out from the reporters that the witnesses' accounts did contradict the defendant's prior testimony.

  2. Controversy.
    The controversy began because the performer started to disrobe on stage--which was not in the rehearsal.

  3. Contrary.
    The supposed Christianity of some people are contrary to their abject bigotry and hatred of people who are different from themselves

  4. Counteract.
    Upon entering the ER, the victim was given anti-venom to counteract the poisonous snakebite she received when walking barefoot on the trail.

  5. Counterproductive.
    The meeting between both sides was counterproductive, when each of the leaders began shouting at each other, so no one could really hear the gist of the conversation.

As for #3, I'm always dismayed by those Christians who are virulently against abortion, but fully in favor of war ... usually against people of darker colored skin and different spiritual beliefs.

Indeed. They're probably for the death penalty too.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. I must always contradict bad thoughts that come to my mind.
  2. Its been a controversy ever since when it comes to salvation of souls.
  3. There are government rules that are contrary to church rules.
  4. I counteract when people say that money is more important than God.
  5. Not all people are productive, there are counterproductive creatures like me, a lazy one.

I always strive to reach agreements, so when a bad thought enters my mind, I never contradict it!

For me bad thoughts are bad.
I no longer entertain it :)

  2. Controversy
    There was controversy at the meeting today, both parties failed to come up with a solid conclusion.
  3. Contrary
    Alvin is totally different compared to his siblings, is it right to say he's a contrary child, John enquired.
  4. Counteract
    So far so good the reaction have been able to counteract all possible mixtures, i guess it's high time we involve a catalyst.
  5. Counterproductive
    I think we'll have to try out new techniques since old ones have been counterproductive so far, Brian vents.

    Most people will contradict the words they say with the actions they do.

  2. Controversy:
    Harry was the talk of the controversy after videos of him were mailed into the local news station.

  3. Contrary:
    Leaving the station, a ghost-filled place, Trilicantor, contrary to his normal way home, take the A train after he met up with Greg for lunch.

  4. Counteract:
    If I want to continue drinking alcohol but not get drunk, what substance will counteract the effects of alcohol?

  5. Counterproductive:
    Some people believe that if they take one day of rest, they will be counterproductive.

As for your requested substance, I've heard that cocaine works very well to keep you alert, awake, and engaged. In fact, it ends up working toooooo well. Please avoid, and just enjoy getting drunk.

Haha. When I wrote that I was picturing food. When I told a person that I may need to stay away from certain foods because of the lectin, they recommended I take pills. I then said, "Why not cut out the foods causing the issue instead of doing something that will do more harm to my body?' :-0
