RE: Vocab-ability Prefix–284 (hetero__ = different, other) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

MY VOCAB PRACTICE:

  1. It's believed in some quarter that being heterosexual is a better way to explore one's sexuality.
  2. Ms. Jane is seen as a sinner by her family members because of her exhibition of some elements of heterodoxy.
  3. Most International classes across various Universities comprises of heterogeneous students.

Good work!

Re your use of "comprise," it does NOT need to be followed by "of." That's just a common misconception. Another common error is when people say or write "is comprised of."

Just use the verb "comprise," followed by the complement / object.

e.g.: "The book comprises five stories."

Thanks for the correction, it's well noted!
