WOAH Volunteers are ROCKING for @AppropriateTech right now!

This week Ruslan, a robotics engineer from the Silicon Valley stayed with a family in Quixaya to work with the new women’s solar dehydrator cooperative. His mission was to test and measure our solar dehydrator and make notes for improvement.

He also showed the cooperative members how to find the best drying sections, noting that perhaps in the corners or the edges there is less airflow and product may not dry as fast as those in the center. These comments are important to share with people who have not had access to the same levels of education so that they can critically analyze their work to self-improve.

Next up, Ruslan will be running tests on our design of fuel-efficient stove produced by Soluciones Energeticas Apropiadas, our social enterprise partners. He is also doing the preliminary research to plan the build of a Plastics Upcyling project to make 3D printer filament or plastic tubs.

PLUS Today, an amazing online volunteer designed a professional quality label for the new women’s dehydrator cooperative B’atz K’uxya’ in Quixaya.

AND the Steem community @Ddaily is doing a ridiculous sexy-man calendar to fundraise for solar panels at Cipresales School on @Fundition crowdfunding!

So much good. It´s amazing what a group of people can accomplish when they love what they do.
