The so many hurt I've suffered in the last twenty minutes is more horrible than those in purgatory. Still I moved on, faster than I can be, I've found out there is an extra reserve energy inbuilt into human in case of trouble. Am using that energy now.
A jump further and I missed it, I missed the log of wood staring at me motionless, at rest, but my miss made it move in elastic motion. I went straight facing the bush and eating some dirts. Didn't even think it twice to look back, I've had enough of staying back, am not going to give in to this. Not anymore.
I heard the voice from behind, calling me again, curse be upon this tongue, how I wish I could muster enough courage to look him eyeball to eye ball and punch his heart out with a sharp knife. But not right now, I still can't move most of my body part without applying extra effort. Still running and wouldn't dare stop, not even look back again.
I dodged this this time, an upright sharp stump of wood, I don't know who decide to cut it through but I escaped the evil trap and kept on running, still the voice kept calling as I made my way deeper into the thick forest. And staring at me right before me was what looked like a tree goddess, motioning at me to keep quiet which I did before she could finally rest the first finger on her immaculate glossy red lips.
Then I heard the caller again calling, harder was the voice and closer he's getting, and a fall and few seconds of quietness followed. The goddess pointed into the opposite direction, my caller has hit his chest against the sharp tree stump and bleeding profusely with little life in him, he looked up, and managed to raise his hands up, I looked with pity but I knew there is no mercy for the wicked.
