Maintaining ties of kinship with maternal and paternal uncles and aunts is compulsory, a Muslim should be kind to his kinship, maintain good ties with them, love and be righteous with them, even if they desert him and cruel to him.

He should respect them and give them there rights. Severing the ties incurs the curse of Allah and deprives a person from entering paradise.

Allah says in the Quran Chapter 47 verse 22-23: "would you if you were given authority, do mischief in the land and sever your ties with kinship? Such are they whom Allah has cursed, so that he has made them deaf and blinded their sight".

The Prophet Sallahu alayhi was Allan said: One who severs ties of kinship will not enter paradise (related by Bulgaria and Muslim)

Lesson

The above quote verse and Hadith of the Prophet draw our attention the importance of keeping family ties together it remind us that:

1. We should be always remember our kith and kin

2. We should be kind to the both sides of our paternal and maternal relations.

3. We should be every thing within our power to support them and maintain good relationship with them.

4. Even if they desert us and cruel to us, we should not sever the ties.

Severing the ties incurs the curse of Allah and deprives a person from entering the paradise.
