TECHNOLOGY should not be the basis of your craft, a pianist who understands concepts of piano playing would generate beautiful sounds from his piano rather than relying on programmed sounds. Understand how everything works regardless of the tech at hand, because the now technology is surely going to be trashed by another, and when it happens; knowing your BASIC CONCEPTS will help you out-last the technology. Do not base your knowledge on the technology behind your craft. "Base you knowledge on the craft behind your technology".
