IS YOUR LION ALIVE OR DEAD??
It was another nice time with these purpose driven youth that want a strong financial security for their tomorrow.
So, I and my partner and colleague Gabriella Ulor was at 'THE PLACE' GRA Ikeja Lagos today to carry out Old Mutual free Financial Education:( Secret of the BIG 5) Lion as the case sturdy.
I focused on the Lion Kingdom: where the Male lion seen as the protector of his pride is the most laziest animal in the jungle while the female lion is the provider that always goes out to hunt, takes out the 'Lion Share' first before considering herself.
We learnt that why she does that is to strengthen the lion ahead to fight and protect her and the curbs when their Prey comes.
ILLUSTRATIONS:
"Female Lion" is You
"Male Lion" is Your Savings account/Investment towards your long term financial goal
"Lion Share" is your 5-10% of your earnings
"The Prey"are those financial challenges you face in life.
Where or who do you run to when faced with financial challenges?
Is your Lion alive and breathing
or Its alive and weak(dead)?
Lesson:
Learn to give yourself first
Always take away your " Lion Share"
and save it up for that your financial goal
Don't wait until the end of month or year before you start saving.
