Be Careful, You Might Lose It All In Few Seconds Of Silly Mistake(Wafrica Guest Post)

in #wafrica6 years ago

As bright as the day, so was the night, when the furious flame went up in its rage, announcing to the whole neighborhood its invited visitation, razing down the wooden parts of the building was a smooth run for this ugly thing..

She left home at about 10:00pm to see a friend, whom she needed to deliver some important information in regard to the next day plan of work, she bolted her three children behind the closed door and burglary proof and left.

Not too long she left, the house was blazing in flame,... Mama Divine! Mama Divine!! as she is fondly called in the compound, where she lives, but no one answered from within, reaching to the door, from the burglary proof to main door were under padlock, all the neighborhood gathered and in a lesser hurry since it seems to them that no one is in the burning house, not until one of the rescuer who went to the window part to pull it out, at least save some properties from burning completely, in the confused noise of the angry fire, he heard a wiping and fading voice of little children, but couldn't bring himself together to believe the reality, finally as he discussed in breakdown the window, the cries were already going down since the heat of the fire was servile at the corner where they are.

This reality set everybody around on shivering position, although before then, some of them has already called the fire extinguisher service to respond bug due to bad road and narrow pass way for their vehicle, it took longer time to respond to the urgent call. The deplorable state of the road to the scene of the incident are not emergency call friendly.

People were hitting the house, trying everything they could do to save those children, maybe their mum is included.... To save their lives but they never succeeded because the fire overpowered them with its scorching flames..

Finally the fire extinguisher service arrived, within a five minutes they were able to bring the fire under control but the bad news is that, they found three burnt children.

Everywhere was silent that night, apart from the alarming siren of fire extinguisher's truck, everyone burying their faces in their palms in way to hold tears back, but women threw up their voices in great wailing that night, the voice of those crying were more audible and loud than the awareness created by the fire, more people were trooping in, to know what's going on?. Anyone that reaches and about the whole ugly scene, dissolves in tears...

No one could give reason on what sparked the fire.

could it be a spark of electric wire, or gas cylinder explosion, generator set fuel explosion.

In the midst of these confused crowd, when things were calming down, a woman ran straight in great wailing and completely mad, running direct into the fire, lo and behold, she was the mother of the burnt babies, she couldn't believe it, "my beloved children that left just to drop a message to a colleague at work, do you mean I won't see my kids again, oh Lord what a painful death, I can't forgive myself for not been there, I should have backed the three of us, oh Lord, I don't want to live"... Those are words from her mouth.

Now all the people start wondering, why do she have to lock them inside in the house? Why not drop them with her neighbors?. A lot of questions without answers,

The woman cried and fainted, she was rushed to hospital.

Her friend started pouring out the reason behind her visit, it was still for the betterment of the children, that she came to tell her in case she didn't make it to work the next day, I should take permission for her.

"She ended up with such words as "this world is nothing, you lost everything that took you years to achieve in a goddamn silly mistake"

Wow that was a really tough experience you may say! But the story above is as real as the sun in the day, and the moon at night.

HOW DO WE CURB DOMESTIC ACCIDENTS FROM HAPPENING

Experience they said is the best but many never live to learn from their own experience, that's why a wise man learns from others experience:

(1).

Don't lock your children inside the house; it is dangerous, because children love experiment and resolved experimenting on explosive things, if you are not there to supervise their activities.

(2). Checking your wiring installation: make sure naked wires are not touching, and are not in reach for children.

Thank you for your time; this pathetic story is a live witnessed ugly situation.

SAFETY AT HOME SHOULD BE OUR WATCH WORD.

This story has shaken me to the core. I'm at a loss of words. May the departed rest in peace and may Lord help that woman. Fire safety is an issue that we usually neglect but it shouldn't be neglected at all.

it is a word for us all

Something of this nature happened down her in PH city. It's pretty saddening, something I wouldn't wish my enemy. Never lock your kids indoors.

thats very necessary dear

Sure talk....sir/ma

nice to see you add your say @charispen

Its a very interesting and timely message, sometimes we left what is needed to do what could be replaced or re-arrange...

Dont use any undervalued items to avoid such hazard that is irreparable.
