Did you know, if you cultivate the habit of segregating your waste, you actually end up with no “waste” at all?

"Really? How?"

Yes! This is because the end product will be useful, no more waste.

Modern households produce a lot of waste and if we don’t cultivate the habit of managing our waste now, it may be too late.

In 2015, Unilever Ghana as part of their Sustainable Living Plan developed a strategy geared towards zero waste to landfill. Thus, complete sorting and segregation of waste generated on its site and office for easy reuse and recycling as well as continues education and awareness creation for employees on waste reduction, and environmental impact (Citifmonline,2015).

You may not be interested in the waste you generate daily until you find your waste overflowing with no Waste management company coming for them. It may be too late. A stitch in time saves nine.

If we handle our waste well by segregating, reuse and recycling will become a part of us with time.

How will you feel, if someone comes for your waste weekly for with no charges just because its segregated and recycling wouldn’t be a headache.

How will you feel, making waste and not paying for it because your waste is profitable!

Have you seen those who collect the pure water sachets on the street and small corners?

Ever paused to think of what’s driving them.
I guess you know now!

The Challenge is still on, Be part of this!

A stitch in time saves nine.

Littering waste around the surroundings should be avoided. It doesn't speak well
of us. @anaman.

Very important information, the greedy petro consumer countries need this education.

I think public sensitization should also be a key factor in getting to the zero waste era, I'm having the feeling that public education on waste segregation here, Ghana, is on the low and much efforts must be put into it, by that there wouldn't be this many dumpsites in Ghana.

thanks for sharing, I'll be sure to do my part in the #wasteculturegh campaign.
