The lack of money is the root of all evil. ? Discuss?
Money is just a way to exchange value. People don't really want money itself but the things you can buy with it.
Not only lack of resources can turn people into evil but also just pure greed.
The problem is with how we value things as a society. Money is not evil but people are. It's the same like guns don't kill people, people do it themselves. Money and guns are just objects. You can use it for both good or bad things. Objects don't have responsibilities, people do.

Those who do not know how to make money can always have complaints and one of such is that "Money is the root of all Evil" and surprisingly, those people are still looking for the money they are calling Evil.

I think greed is a big root of evil not really poverty or lack of money.

@niel96, In my opinion Humanity received the knowledge from the Wrong Teacher because if we see the current picture then everyone want more and more possession and materialistic gains are becoming the primary aspect. And this race is creating a situation where people are getting divided and more and more hatred is spreading.

Very true! People are rarely satisfied, there will always be the ambition to have more, more money, more power, more time. Worst of all, we think that this is fine and that is where the big problem lies.
This is true. No object necessarily has responsibilities, the universe doesn't see good or evil. It is the responsibility of those people who occupy the universe, who pick up these things, who then have the moral obligations and responsibilities to do good with them.
I hope one day mankind can move beyond money as a value of all things.
I see this quote completed a few times because for some reasons people just say "Money is the root of all evil". Lack of it sure drives a lot of evil but I thing greed is also a part of the problem. The fear of lack of money is also the root of some evil we see. For many know how things were when the didn't have money and are afraid to go back to such situation so will do all manner of evil not to be poor in life.
Money to live in comfort is good. The problem is who its with. A kitchen knife with a lawyer might be useless,pass that same knife to a chef and lets watch him work magic. Its greed and envy too that causes people to misuse money
