Wednesday House - Brick by Dusty

There is something to be said for a track that manages to fuse genres together so well. For this week's #wednesdayhouse entry, I'm showcasing a track that does an amazing job straddling the worlds of disco, classic house, and acid: Dusty's Brick.

Recently released on Dusty's own Jazz & Milk label, Brick comes out of the gates running with a classic sounding house vocal before sliding into a lovely disco house groove. It's the type of track that seems tailor made to open a set and give a crowd that warm vibe that the best of disco tracks have largely due to the looseness of the groove that his MPC based production provides. The thing that makes this track special though is the acid bassline that rolls through a few minutes in giving deep vibe to an already stellar track. Rarely does acid disco sound this good.

Lovely wet acid line.

I really dig this one despite being more of a techno fan. Gotta love that Acid.

genre-fusing indeed. It kept feeling like a disco record then the acid hit ya
