Wednesday Walk with @tattoodjay
This is my first Wednesday walk.
I saw the post by @tattoodjay this morning and it inspired me to get out side and go for a walk. Today was interesting in my neighborhood, since there was construction going on one of the streets.
A bright red truck, every little kid's dream!
I watched as chunks of driveway were lifted up into the truck.
Sections of the sidewalk were missing. I had to do some jumping to the otherside.
Somebody gets a free porta-john in their front yard! Lucky you!
Not only the road, but people's driveways are affected
The equipment is very noisy - not so fun at 8:30 AM, if you're planning on sleeping in!
The previous road is completely gone, down to dirt!
I don't think this is a reference to the '90 band REM...

That was a fun opportunity to go for a walk this morning and to share the interesting things in my neighborhood that I saw today. Thank you for taking a stroll with me this beautiful Wednesday morning.

The noise must be frustrating as you say for those who sleep in or work at night, but i guess it has to be done

My street got new sidewalks but I have never seen a whole street get ripped up. Must have been REALLY bad!!!

They are really replacing the sewers. The road was so bad the people on the road were petitioning to get it replaced, but the county snuck in the sewer repairs and is pretending like it was just "incidental" to replacing the road. Also incidentally...the homeowners have to pay for it this way instead of the county having to cover the sewer work as would normally be the case. Grrrrr....!
That is a MEGA DUMP TRUCK!!! Some serious haulage!
