Wednesday Walk: Flowers, Bee And A Squirrel

It’s time for a brief #nature Wednesday Walk outside to check some of the flowers. There has been hot weather without much rain but my perennial garden seems to be holding up.

The burgundy lilies are in full bloom.

There is an area by the front deck where they seem to do well.





Although the hosta’s bloom is not as colorful as the lily, it is an important part of the garden. I’ve seen the hummingbirds stopping by them.





A closer look at the blooms on the hosta plant.





I forgot the name of this plant. I think it’s Motherwort?





This is what the leaves of the motherwort look like. I photographed this at another time, after a rain.





The orange lilies are in a couple difference spots around the yard. These ones are by the back deck.





A little bee is collecting pollen from the mallow flowers.





Going around the back of the house. No Tail is waiting patiently to see if any treat forecoming.





And yes, I did go in the house and bring the little red squirrel a piece of biscuit.
