WednesdayWalk - To visit Dima
Hi, Steemit!!!
We continue our journey through the Ice Age. Today we are going to visit Dima! Here and Dima! The one on the right! :)
Totally baby! He lived for about six months.
A stand on the wall contains small details about how it was found. It was from there we learned that his name is Dima!
Why was he named Dima? There are several versions, but the most convincing one is: “The name Dima comes from the name of a small stream, near which the baby mammoth was found".
In this room is the skeleton of an adult mammoth. The mammoth we saw on the street looks more attractive :)))))
The difference between a baby and an adult is clearly shown.
It was also possible to admire all Dimin relatives - the genealogical tree of the mammoths, indicating their weight!
I did not expect it to be such a big family.
If you are interested in how you look on the background of these mammoths, go to this wall and stand on the blue tracks!
The brown mark shows the growth of Dima, and the adult mammoth is already visible :)
I was very sorry for the little shaggy baby. Traces lead us further. Let's see who else we will meet!
Have a nice day !!!
