Weku - A Blogging Platform That Rewards Good Content

in #weku6 years ago

Blockchain is a revolutionary technology which was first introduced in 1991 but since no application was built on it, people forgot about this technology and no one worked on it until 2009 when Satoshi Nakamoto introduced bitcoin. That marked the beginning of this revolutionary technology and since then a lot of technologies built on top of blockchain have been introduced.
Steemit was introduced in March 2016 and it was the first of its kind that rewarded people for creating content on the platform. A lot of similar applications have been built but none of them was able to make an impact in the world of blockchain.

A new platform weku was introduced couple of months ago. It looks like a clone of steemit and at first I was a bit hesitant to join weku. The hesitation continued till I read their whitepaper and I knew that weku might look like steemit but it promises some really advanced things that will set it apart from steemit. The design of weku is based on steemit framework and graphene framework with innovations being made in the following areas:

  • Multimedia and data storage by using IPFS technology.
  • Weku will support multiple languages on their website and even more on the mobile application.
  • Community creators will receive incentives from weku
  • Similar content recommendation with the help of AI
  • Weku will also have a built in search engine.

Weku aims at rewarding the users who make valuable content on their platform and motivate them at the same time.
It might be the best time to get onboard and start writing posts on the platform. There are a few communities who are willing to support you if you write quality content and use their tags, one among them being the zeal community which started by a user named phoenix.

The best part is that you will get 100 weku as a sign up bonus and if you refer your friend, you will get 50 weku for just bringing them to the platform. It is a win win situation for both the new users and referrers. Another advantage, if you join now, will be that you will among the early adopters of the platform and who knows you might become a whale some day.
You can use my referral link to get started with 100 weku coins. You can power them up or keep them as liquid rewards, the choice is yours.

I had seen this too last week but was hesitant as you say to sign up. But seeing your approval stamp I am signing up and should start making my posts there. Happy sunday!

Don't just listen if someone is telling to do it.
Do your own research, read the whitepaper at least.

What does this means for Steemit???

This means it is very early to call steemit has a competitor. 😂

Do they have mobile app too ?

Not that I know of but I heard the mobile application will be released for the users soon.

Ohhh thats cool👍 i have heard lately about it and even it has same introduction style as steemit have...how do it going to affect steemit is big question. Or it is already a replacement.

Better call it a clone of steemit. I was very hesitant to join until I read the whitepaper. It says that only good content will prevail. Now we have to be on the platform to witness that and if that's true we might be whales someday if we are good content creators.

Haha thats true "a whale" at weko. Not sure how they going to get the quality justified. Even steemit started with same logic .....let hope to see a good competitor on blockchain..might it help to improve steemit .....

They are using some kind of algorithm for that. I don't know much about coding and things related to that so I just read the whitepaper not going into details.
And yeah we can only hope that it proves a competitor to steemit and we might see both the platforms improving out of competition.

That is a point...both of them should grow to bring smile on user face👌
