As dapps go @wherein gives me a sense of confidence They are facing more challenges than any other Dapp as they have to tread through a minefield to make sure they don't get added to an extended list of banned sites. Having a level head and knowing what the authorities want in China is the key.

A while ago I wrote about https://steemit.com and api.steemit.com being banned in China (February). I hadn't realized that the log in feature of steemconnect also vanished with this ban. Instead of giving up and running around cursing the team applied to github to implement wherinconnect.They published the code on Github for developers to use.

I think this is a smart move and one which should see them succeed. It is actions like this that give me even more confidence in this Dapp and the team behind it. I think it is the speed at which they work and knowing the importance to all of us how important this move was. I think it was a bit of genius thinking and ingenuity at the same time.

The Chinese market is huge and ideal for @wherein as most users use their mobiles for internet access and socializing. Once the public realizes they can receive crypto currency as a reward for doing something they enjoy this site will be inundated. There is a huge void to fill as the top social media sites from the west have been banned except this back door to Steem. I am hoping that the hurdles that have been placed in front of them will be nothing more than a irritant and can see this team achieving success.

The Chinese New year is over now as we move into the Chinese year of the Pig. This symbolizes good luck,honesty ,wealth and overall good fortune. This should be a good omen for @wherein and the team behind them. We all need them to succeed as this is what Steem needs. If you want a community to take this place to the next level we have to look no further than the Chinese as they have the numbers to make this the biggest thing since sliced bread.
