The Diary Game: Diary of Mr. Hainanese 02062020 Taxi Drivers in Risks!

Today is the first day of Phase 1 of lifted Circuit Breaker, morning when I went to work, obviously the crowd was more than before this!

But, My housemate still work from home, guess the government still slowly control and monitor the public to go work.

I still remember the taxi driver yesterday, he was very excited to drive me to NUS, he said he already few months never drive taxi, so now wanted practice driving before Phase 1.

I asked him why, he said before Singapore isolate the foreign workers’ dormitory, the day before he drove one foreign worker to clinic, then the next day the government called him asked whether he got fetched this foreign worker and asked him to stay home and self check if any symptoms.

He was shocked and scared to stay till then, but he said till now he is fine and well, so he thinks he should be fine.

I always feel taxi is one of the high risk job during covid because they have to contact with so many different people, even worse if airport still opened.

Tonight I decided to take MRT, is been a while but hope everything will be over soon 🙏🏼

Let’s look at my dinner tonight, it costs $5 Singapore dollar, I bought from the favourite nyonya stall at Jem.
