Facebook has always been on the hit list for privacy-advocates, and for good reason. They refuse to respect their users data, time and time again.

Today, WikiTruth has just learned how deep this rabbit hole goes...

Today, we here at WikiTruth received confidential information regarding Facebook and their handling of user privacy. We had received such reports from various sources, but did not know all three facts, and decided to share them here.

One of the most important information revealed by this source concerning Facebook policies regarding how users use their social networks on Facebook, is that users don't have permission to share certain personal information with advertisers on Facebook.

This is contrary to Facebook's own site, which states on its privacy section of their website, that all information used by Facebook employees and their contractors is "protected."

In short, the company claims to be protecting the company from all privacy violations and privacy violations by the public at large.

In fact, Facebook claims to be taking such action because "users do not realize they are sharing this data with marketers while they are visiting your website โ€” and not immediately," so you shouldn't assume you're sharing the data without consent.

It also helps that the FTC has announced that it will enforce existing rules of the old website sharing and advertising sharing agreements, because Facebook violated the terms.

While Facebook claims its privacy policy does not permit anyone with a valid social media account to use the platform to collect or share personal information or content, the company is clearly following its privacy guidelines as to what constitutes personal information โ€“ the same thing that the FTC and Congress have set down.

And as you know, there are hundreds of millions of people who use Facebook, so it may not be an issue with only 1% of users, but it may be an issue with more of them.

So, they've tried to get around it by working with the advertisers who allow Facebook to show you ads based on your location. But the way they've worked it out has really been pretty frustrating. Now they're pushing Facebook on everyone who may use its new advertising feature:

And by the way, Facebook has acknowledged that the way the data is being used now is not just bad for the advertisers but the consumer. One of the ways they did get around this is to just add fake Facebook likes on fake accounts that it created. And there's really an awful lot of misinformation online about how Facebook's algorithms work, and how its privacy settings work. But this whole thing is stinking of corruption, lies, and down-right criminal actions.

F*ck Facebook

We are WikiTruth.
We hereby declare to post information onto this immutable ledger with the sole intent to distribute, inform, and participate in the free exchange of knowledge.
We do not believe in "government-given" rights. We believe that the only thing a government can do with a person's rights, is take them away.

As a human, you are innately born with freedom. Any "rights" that are "granted" to you by the government, are merely those they have yet to stripe you off.
To put it bluntly: A GOVERNMENT CAN NOT GIVE RIGHTS, IT CAN ONLY TAKE THEM AWAY.

With that in mind, we will be using the Steem blockchain in order to release information that should be public and free.
