Witness Update Report #25

Another perfectly quiet week on the witness front, as we always say quiet is best, it basically means things are performing without any issues. Our witness server is running as it should, smooth and steady, no blocks missed and we have a stable price feed. We have also moved up on the witness list to number 50, so happy dace all round and a huge thank you to all who voted our witness, you guys rock!

We also hope everyone who was able to make it to this year's @steemfest is having a blast of a time, it sure looks like fun times. If you're there, please be sure to look out for some of our Adsactly fam who were able to join, like @velimir @alexvan @soyrosa @guyfawkes4-20 and @derangedvisions, so say hi if you run into them. Unfortunately not everyone was able to make it, but luckily there is an awesome SteemFest YouTube Live Stream to catch up on everything. Below you can watch the first day's main stage festivities.

Our weekly Witness Report post, we will be choosing different technical topics to discuss.

We would really like to hear from some of the new users to the platform and to our Adsactly community.

Basic Steemit Commenting Tips:

There are some things that you should consider when commenting on posts.

• READ the post!!! Don’t comment on something that you have not taken the time to read.

• Make your comments relevant and on topic. Show the author that you have taken the time to actually read the post by talking about things that interested you or you thought were important. When the author sees this they are more likely to vote for your comments and even check out your own posts.

• Avoid comments like “Awesome” or “Great Post”. These comments although nice do not show that you have bothered to read the content. It is easy to spam these types of comments to a lot of posts but they will not get the response you are hoping for. In fact, some consider these types of comments to be spam.

• Avoid asking for people to upvote you or follow you in your comments. The way you engage with the community should be genuine and the relationship developed over time will be based on those interactions. Often these types of comments will be ignored or treated like spam.

• Do Not copy someone else's comment and post it as your own. Even if you think that it was a great comment, this is plagiarism. YES, even comments can be plagiarised.

• Have fun. The whole point here on Steemit is to engage and have fun with other content producers.
