Yes. I have recently developed a solution of all upload issues on DTube. It's an alternative IPFS video uploader that is easy to use, and easy to compile which makes DTube more decentralized because it's extremely easy to get their own upload servers running.
There are several improvements over their official uploader:
Everything is handled asynchronously (no encoding and IPFS adding queues)
Videos go straight to IPFS network so they get picked up by nodes easier (unlike DTube's upload servers where files are served from their clusters without involving IPFS at all)
Thumbnails do not get compressed
Recently added Steem Keychain support, alongside with SteemConnect auth
Metadata can be saved in browser cache as draft
Videos remain playable as long as it remains anywhere in the IPFS network.
Website is live on https://uploader.oneloved.tube. All videos uploaded on @onelovedtube's servers will be replicated across multiple nodes for smooth playback, and they will not get deleted. There is a small fee of $10/month for access to @onelovedtube uploader to pay for the servers.
