I got inspired when i went for morning devotion and Pastor S.A Ajayi preached on the topic : THE HOUSE OF GOD

A house is where someone dwells, a permanent physical address where a family or individual could be located.

The house of God is anywhere is anywhere you concentrated to always meet with your creator , our God. Acts 2:46-47; Psalms 122:1; John 14:1-3

FACTS OF THE HOUSE OF GOD

1. Its a place where God dwells with his people. Solomon in a display of bewilderment and wonder " but will God indeed on the earth" Behold , the heavenof heavens cannot contain thee: how much less this house that i built 1kings 8:27. God indeed dwells among the people on earth.

2. It is a hallowed or respected place where God expresses his presence. The presence of God is an awful place because God has hallowed it. He has put his name there; his eyes and his heart are there perpetually. It is therefore not a place where immoral and abnormal behaviours could be demostrated, praticed or permited.

3. Its a place of Divine Refuge: The house of the lord is a strong place of abode where the children of God run to in time s of distress. It is a secure place where God protects his saint.

4. It is a place of fellowship with God and other believers. God created man fornhis glory and fellowship. When we enter his presence, we must be full of him and not be full of ourselves.There should be no acrimony or hatred from one to another.

5. It is a place of prayer: when you present yourself before God in his house, God expects you to be communing with him in prayer or meditating on his word, feeding our soul and spirit, prepaatory for his divine worship and visitation.Jesus made this clear in Matt 21:2.

6. It is a place of Judgement : 1 pet 4:17. Many believers are ignorant of the fact judgement must start from the house of God. Lack of knowledge is responsible for misbehaviours , immodest dressing and unwholesome behaviours . Remember the judgement will start from the church.

7. It is a place of joy and blessing: psalms 16:11 . No one who truly and correctly present himself or herself in his house would go with sorrow and sadness, it is written " the reedemed of the lord shall return and come with singing unto.
