"Word Poetry Challenge #: 7 Memories"

Memories....
good ones are like jewels in the east
we can't afford to lose.
just like  blinking road sign at night
as we drive in the dark, its guiding us
Reminding which way is which to take
a precautions linger in our mind
Drawing us out from the bait of chaos ahead
Saving us from troubles
Securing that life of the past was worth it.
Defending ourselves from self-doubt
- whether you unplugged the iron from the outlet after using it
-or had you lock the door before leaving
If you have a good one 
then perhaps, you won't forget those curlers
that clamping still in your hair
while you feel ready seating in driver's chair.

On the other side of it,
bad ones are traps, a hurdle on west road
You badly wanted to escape from it
heavy baggage you unload and leave behind
until even shadows should be out from thy sight
you thought that when your drive as fast as you can
you'll  be free from it
But like an idiot,
the way your heading is the cliff
it is a dead-end.

Two faces of memories,
housing in your head.
It will be your choice to preserve  one and burry the other.
'Cause until you can still feel the bite of the sun in your naked skin,
until you can still smell the wind in your nostrils
A second, minute, hour and a day pass
You create a journey
whether you go to the east or the west.
