Word Poetry Challenge #13: "Fear"
Fear.
Fear of the unknown.
Fear of the inevitable.
Fear of what you called fate.
My head is screaming.
My heart is pounding.
What will I become from here.
I only seem to have the beginning.
No view of what they say,
A beautiful ending.
Life is the greatest game,
Grotesque puzzles it contain.
Stuck with this shithole,
When death is only its goal.
Why play and conquer,
Display tenacity and faith,
The world as it's battlefield,
Gather championships,
When you'll just be buried at the end.
Fear binding its snare like a snake,
Its hideous face never leave,
Creepy hiss come looking,
Poisonous tongue that sting,
Whatever I do it sticks.
No one could escape,
Stealing everyone's sane,
Will I still have hope,
When Im imprisoned and doped.
I am afraid.
I really am.
What my future will behold.
Shall i give up?
Shall i keep living?
Whatever I'll do
It holds me,
Cradling like a baby,
Born with it,
Cursed to have it,
Till my deathbed.

I rest in this void
devoid of knowing
voiceless yet aware
conscious yet chained
How much longer can we endure
the pain?
until we give in
Let go
Descend into the dirt
and release what no longer serves.
To let the Death of the Old
Fertilize the soils of the New
For the Now.
the Void...
Lifeless it may seem
is actually a fountain of endless creation.
I am out of words
