Term: Callipers
Definition: A device with two moveable
jaws used by sculptors to take measurements in the round while working. Also used when making copies of original work. Callipers come in different sizes. Sculptor's callipers were originally only made of wood with brass fittings - but can now also be found in metal or plastic.
