How to do work/study at night

in #work6 years ago

There are times in life when you have to stay up all night to work on something, even if you’re doing a project for work or studying for an exam.

Some people work best during night time, but for those who are used to working during the day, it can be exhausting and really hard not to fall asleep in front of their computer.

It’s best if you finish your work before night time, but if you really have to work at night, here are a few tricks to maintain your energy.

To work at night, it’s important to be well rested during the day. If you’ve worked all day long and got up really early, you won’t be able to face this challenge. Try to take a nap before you start working. It’s really important that in 24 hours of a day, you have slept 8 hours.

Also, when you know you’re going to have a hard night, try not to eat too much for dinner. Big meals will make you feel tired because your energy will be focused on digesting the food. Eat a salad with no meat, an yogurt or grilled fish.

If you’re used to studying or working in bed, you should get up and sit at your desk. In bed, your brain will relax and it will induce you the idea that you have to sleep. Also, pay attention to the lights in the room. It’s best if you let all the lights on.

From time to time, open the window in the room. The air will be good for your brain, and it’s also important that there are 20 degrees in the place you’re studying. If it’s too hot, you’ll start feeling sleepy soon.

The last trick I have for you is your best friend during working session. When you feel like you have no energy left, take a cold shower. I guarantee you that you’ll be fresh and ready to work all night long.
