Worldcup day 31: Belgium defeated England to win bronze
With one more match to the end of Russia 2018 world cup, Belgium has claimed the 3rd position and won bronze medal after defeating the three Lion of England by two goals to nothing.
The match started 3:00pm Nigerian time. The first goal was scored by Thomas Meunier just 4min into the game and the first half ended 1 - 0. The second half started with England attacking more with no success but instead Eden Hazard gave Belgium another goal and the match ended 2 - 1.
If you remember, England and Belgium had already met in the group stage of the tournament and Belgium defeated England 1 - 0. This means Belgium defeated England twice in this tournament and show us all that the are no match for England.
This is the best performance of Belgium so far in world cup. The entire nation will be happy for their achievement in this year's world cup.
Harry Kane, the Captain of England still remains the highest goal scorer in the tournament with 6 goals and we have to wait till tomorrow to know whether he will go home with the golden boot.
The final match will be played tomorrow between Croatia and France to know who will finally go home with the trophy.
