The history of Croatia in the 1998 World Cup has been overlaid with a thicker ink in the 2018 World Cup by Luka Modric and his friends.

The world was so enthralled with Croatian football in their first World Cup as an independent country in France 1998. Unmitigated, at that time they finished in third place, plus won the top scoring title on behalf of Davor Suker.

Twenty years later, it was the turn of the next generation that catapulted the Croatian name. Perhaps not all of their penggawa currently known to the world fans, but it becomes not important, because more importantly this team is so mighty from the beginning.

Together with Uruguay and Belgium, only those who can win three games in the group phase. That means, up to now Croatia have always won from six games, including two on penalties.

Croatia advanced to the final and made the best record of their history in the World Cup. This is the first time Croatia has reached the final of the four-year tournament.
