When I was a young high school student I used to go to school with a friend of mine – David who loved football, David was a talented young football player and always enjoyed playing football. He together with the school team won the championships almost every year and they we always regarded as the best team in the provincials. After graduation we went to University together, He got a scholarship based on his sports ability and I joined him as a geeky technological guy chasing his technological pursuits. David joined the University main team and he was able to play for us towards several achievement including the interuniversity championships in 2009 where our school emerged as winners.

Everyone knew David, the football superstar to be! But not the relevant people who were to help him achieve his dreams. Every scouting manager for the countries team always asked for bribes and it proved very hard to get reach of the club's presidents due to the tight schedules and security behind the celebrities.

The community loved David, but there was nothing they could have done, despite raise awareness which fell on deaf ears. Currently David works at an Accounting Firm but still his passion of playing football allows him to couch young talents in the neighborhood during his free time.

I'm writing this deeply loving the idea of decentralizing the scouting of talents in the football space as this can help many young talents such as David who are finding it hard to join their dream football clubs due to the challenges they face during the recruitment process. I learned about Netscouters when researching for blockchain start-ups that are doing social good to the community, I found the idea of the project being good and informed David about the Netscouters platform and how it plans to solve the challenges faced during our days. We discussed about the project and came up with the idea of helping the young teams he is couching to be registered on the platform at a considerable Platform’s subscription fees are €50 per player.

Netscouters is a decentralized platform whose main aim is to help talented players like David overcome the obstacles faced during the recruitment process such as finances and infrastructures. Users will be able to validate and curate talent performances through the wep portal or the mobile platform and help in improving the football industry.

The platform will be able to promote active engagement of players performances where they will be able to upload their videos and create profiles where they will create a social engagement with the community and the industry top professionals for easier recognition and the platform will make it easier for the scouting managers to evaluate, validate and promote the young talents.

Blockchain technology can be applied to football due to its decentralized nature and transparency, the decentralized nature can be helpful especially when scouting talents where the community can validate and curate a potential candidate where he will be spotted and helped grow his potential.
