The absolute bliss of the ocean.
The universe has given us the most wonderful, free playground. The ocean opens us up to an environment that is so full of energy and power that it makes it so difficult not to just indulge in the beauty. Naturally i am a body boarder at heart ... YESSS!!! Boogie all day but regardless, all forms of being involved with and around the ocean is just magical. the feeling of being in the open, salty water with crashing waves just gives the sensation of a heaven on earth. i have been blessed enough to be following the World Surf Tour (WSL) throughout 2017 and just loved the firing waves and constant action.
Current world champion, John John Florence is a gem in the water. His text book surfing makes it such a pleasure to watch. persoanlly, although i am South African. i'll always be whispering "go John John".

so yes there are guys like John John Florence, Gabriel Medina, Kelly Slater and even Julian Wilson that are shredding but lets not forget South Africans very own Jordy Smith who is on top of his game and currently ranked 4th on the WSL men's championship rankings. Jordy Smith has been on top of his form, managing to rack up some really decent scores, placing him in fairly high positions. Scoring some of the best swell Durban has had to offer recently, on home soil, motivates us to believe Jordy is ready for 2018.

Jordy Smith is not the only South African that will be representing South Africa in this year as there is much great talent, such as guys like Michael February and even Dale Staples. I believe Bianca Buitenday will be representing the South African flag in the Pro women's division.

Bellow is a list of the Events that are scheduled to take place this year (2018). To my knowledge WSL got the green light from Facebook making the it the number one media platform to catch live coverage. Live streaming? problem; no more. The event expected to take place in the Surf ranch is what i am really frothing for. Some of the best talent in the world meets scientific surfing perfection, AGAIN ... WHOOOP WHOOP!!!!!!

Exited to see what the world has to offer surfing and what surfing has to offer the world, this year. Always stoked to see things happening in the water and just cannot wait to see the progression as we tackle the new year.
