NJPW Wrestling Dontaku Night 2 Review (5/4/18):
Ryusuke Taguchi, Jushin Thunder Liger and Tiger Mask IV vs Shota Umino, Ren Narita and Yuya Uemura: **1/2 Decent but unspectacular opener Narita stood out the most to me on his team in this match

Pimps Club (Yujiro Takahashi and Chase Owens) vs Tomoyuki Oka and Yuji Nagata: ** Same as the first match decent but nothing spectacular, Oka wanted to get tagged in to prove himself and wound up losing for his team. Yujiro came out with a different girl than he did the night before who was not as hot as her sadly

Roppongi 3K (Rocky Romero, Sho and Yoh) vs Suzuki-Gun (Takashi Iizuka, Taka Michinoku and Taichi) * RPG 3K looked better in this match than last night because they at least got offense in but other than that there was nothing to this match

Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano vs Togi Makabe and Toa Henare: ***1/4 This was great stuff for the time it got. Henare is going to be something special and his quest to beat Ishii is fun to watch, also Ishii and Makabe can do no wrong when they go at it I'd call this a win

CHAOS (Jay White, Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi) vs David Finlay, Michael Elgin and Juice Robinson: *** This was good as well. The big thing I took away is that Jay White is likely to turn on CHAOS the second he decides they've served there purpose to him. Also apparently David Finlay is getting married on May 13th congratulations to him
Post Match: Taichi attacks Elgin and Goto with his mic stand and then takes Goto to the back (I like to think he does that because he wants to sodomize him with the microphone stand) and Jay White tried to attack Juice but was run off. I'm not really looking forward to Taichi vs Goto but Juice Robinson vs Jay White should be a great match

Los Ingobernables De Japon (Tetsuya Naito, Evil, Sanada, Bushi and Hiromu Takahashi) vs Suzuki-Gun (Lance Archer, Davey Boy Smith Jr, Minoru Suzuki, El Desperado and Kanemaru): *** Suzuki-Gun got a new theme and it's fucking awesome. This was your standard Suzuki-Gun multi man tag they brawl in the aisle way forever then get in the ring and beat someone down in the ring (although I will say Archer chokeslamming Takahashi over the top rope onto the rest of LIJ was awesome). Naito ended it by pinning Kanemaru with Destino
Post match: A fan in an LIJ mask jumps the guardrail and attacks Naito, he attacks him all the way back to the ring where he unmasks and... IT'S CHRIS JERICHO!!!!!! Jericho then hits the codebreaker, busts Naito open with the ring bell and leaves. This was an awesome angle that should lead to an absolute classic match likely to take place when NJPW goes to the Cow Palace on July 7

Bullet Club vs Bullet Club Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi) and The Tongans (Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa) vs Cody, Hangman Page and The Villain Club (Marty Scurll, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) ** Average match nothing of note, Scurll was pinned after he tried and failed to slam Bad Luck Fale. Post Match the members of Bullet Club minus Cody and Kenny "Too Sweeted" (potentially getting them sued) and made up

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Will Ospreay (C) vs Kushida: ****1/2 HOLY FUCK!!! This match was awesome it was a war between 2 guys wanting to prove they deserve to be IWGP Junior Champion
Post Match: Tama Tonga comes out and distracts Ospreay allowing the newest member of Bullet Club "Bone Soldier" to jump him from behind and lay him out. Afterwards Tama Tonga reveals the new Bone Soldier to be former multi time GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion for Pro Wrestling NOAH Taiji Ishimori. Ospreay vs Ishimori will be epic and I'm looking forward to seeing it

IWGP Heavyweight Championship Kazuchika Okada (C) vs Hiroshi Tanahashi: ****3/4 THIS. WAS. AWESOME!!!!! Tanahashi vs Okada is one of the greatest rivalries in wrestling history and this match lived up to that standard. If you're a wrestling go watch this match right now. I really can't say enough nice things about this match
Post match: Okada requests his next defense be against Kenny Omega and asks that it be no time limit, Omega comes out and agrees but also asks for it to be 2/3 Falls and the main event of Dominion is set. That match will be awesome and I can't wait to see it

Overall thoughts: The top 2 matches are worth going out of your way to see the rest of the show wasn't that great but wasn't terrible other than the Suzuki-Gun/RPG 3K match so I'd give the entire show it a recommendation as well
