In The Year 2098 : A Futurist Flash-fiction.

It was a new era we were all meant to embrace, you can decide to dodge a little bit of tech and gadgets as you wish during your own time but not this era, not this age, not this millennia anymore.

I can remember there was this meme back in the early 2000's of a possibility of printing out our children as we want. That generation, my grandfather generation, use to laugh at it a lot, they never knew it can ever become a reality, a mixed feeling on this, my generation made it work.

We develop an AI capable of mimicking the womb and brought in fertility with it, with some grafted DNA, and chances to determine to a very large extent what and how you want your child to be. The Teniola Corporation gradually made us all buy into it, it started as an organ grafting corporation, where wounded military men could come for repair and replacement of there damaged body organ, they from there developed prosthetics, perfect enough to pass for a human flesh, been an Oliver Twist, they went further in drawing there customers into buying body parts they don't need, in no time, almost everyone want a biotech hands to do some amazing stuffs. The Marvel and DC comics made that easy with the advent of Spider Man, Iron-man, and many more.

The Teniola corporation ended up becoming the largest biotech corporation in the world, controlling both man and robots.

Then, like a joke, an hoax or rumour, people started dissapearing in large numbers, we started hearing various stories of how they fell under an intense light till they were seen no more.

I've heard talks about the after life. And here I am asking myself how I got here, with half of my body techy, I knew in no matter of time the call will be made on my body, and I'll move as those before me into that realm of light. Whatever lies over there, I know not.
