The Value of Horror Stories

Images property of @jeffreymartin

Is often said that art imitates life and fiction is an art form used by humanity longer than we can speculate @jeffreymartin has a reflexion about that in his post about horror stories, giving it a value similar to game or a simulation that warn us about life and how to approach to situations, in the case of horror stories it is linked to the ugly part of life!

The first thing you have to realize is that fiction is a highly advanced form of play. And, what's the purpose of play? Animals play to prepare themselves for the future. Lion cubs play hide and seek, chasing, wrestling, fighting, and killing. These are the skills that they will need for life. When a lion becomes fully mature it no longer plays, it doesn't need to. There are some animals that never really grow up. Domesticated animals are usually neotenous, or child-like. Pigs are like baby boars, dogs are like baby wolves, cats are like baby panthers, etc. - @jeffreymartin

Jeffrey Alexander Martin is a writer and blogger that shares all he writes in his personal webpage and his blog here in the platform, he often boards themes deeply and with a philosophical manner but always trying to reach every kind of audience even with the most complicated subjects, if you want to read some interesting ideas you would like to follow this blog.

We Built Justin Rhodes' Chickshaw 2.0. How did it go?

Images property of @squareonefarms

Chicken coops are great and all, but you know what? Chicken coops are not too badass to begin with, I'm sure @squareonefarms though the same way and put some hard work into a Chickshaw 2.0 inspired on the one built by famous Youtube farmer Justin Rhodes he documented every detail in this awesome and thorough video.

We had a great response to this build. Not only the editing and video itself, but the build went great. Some people have commented on it as it is sitting out by the road with our chickens utilizing it. You can check out the video below along with other great information as well: - @squareonefarms

This is not just the blog of this guy his whole family, a blog all things homestead, farming and youtubing with a growing following of people who love what they do, and the growth can be seen here on Steemit too with their great quality even when their blog is just a couple of month old, if you wanna enjoy with a family-focused homesteading blog, you just found the one!

The Creative and Artistic World: On Becoming an Expert

Images property of @reddragonfly

It is often that the hardest questions are not from the hardest subjects but from the most common ones, like how can you be a successful artist? When do I become an expert artist? These questions are tackled by @reddragonfly in a post reflecting on the most common questions asked for someone in charge of an art gallery and a veteran art business couple!

Being in the art gallery business, we are often asked "what it takes" to become a successful artist. It's one of those questions I really dislike, having been in the art business since 1985. Not that there is really anything wrong with asking that, mind you... but it's one of those "generic" questions that sits right up there with trying to determine what it means to be "a NICE person." - @reddragonfly

Red Dragonfly Arts is a blog managed by @denmarkguy and @cosmictriage a couple of engaged steemians who took as their labor to showcase the artwork of talented people around the area of Port Townsend, Washington, their blog focuses on answering the big questions about art business, development and creativity, this is an art blog with a fresh take!

The Philosophy of Thanos

Movies are the voice of the new cosmic vision of our generation, from the screen we can see how we see ourselves and our society, doing that @leaky20 took the phenomenon of Thanos from the movie Infinity War to study why he acts like that from a philosophical point of view deconstructing the villain that shook the world just by snapping his fingers!

Having been born in the mid 80's I kind of grew up watching movies and television. As such, I often view movies as something that goes beyond basic entertainment. In a way I've sort of come to view them as the myths of our time. Though many movies at first seem trivial, some ask challenging philosophical questions and/or provide insight into the common discourses taking place in society today. This is how I viewed the most recent movies by Marvel (I.e. "Infinity War" and "End Game"). In a subtle (or maybe not so subtle) way, the movie asks the viewer some big questions about the human species and how they think we should address some of the issues in society today. I'd love for you to check out my post and share your ideas on how we should move forward as a species on this planet that we call home. - @leaky20

If you ask me how to describe this blog I would say that the author gives an extra thought to everything, from movies to events, or even previous thoughts he had or somebody else had, he tries with each post to run the extra mile and give a little bit of him to every conversation, a blog for the curious and those open to discussion!

[ENG] Australia Working Holiday Visa #3 Albany

Images property of @general.guy

Now let's have a breath of fresh air with @general.guy who was recently in Albany, Australia on a trip full of beautiful vistas and a couple of adventures and huge monuments, an experience with a few particular moments and laughs all around, they even stayed in a hostel which let them pay their stay by working on it! Nuts!

Images property of @general.guy

Albany is a small and quiet town with very colorful landscapes and national parks. A big topic in this place is the ANZAC Day (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps). This commemorates the fallen soldiers from Australia and New Zealand, who fell in World War I in the battle for Gallipoli. You will find there monuments, as well as old bunkers or bases, parks and museums around this topic. - @general.guy

This is the blog of someone who took travel as his new life with his girlfriend, now he blogs about it on the platform and shares it with everyone, currently on his 3rd entry on Australia Working Holiday Visa series he shows great promise even when he got few contents, none the less with very good quality and stories to tell!
