On writing; and freeing the imagination
Writing is a task of the imagination.
Task?
Exercise?
Perhaps love.
Writing is a process of the imagination. Nope.
Writing is an expression of the imagination. The mind wrestling and grappling with the infinity of possibility.
There it is.
Sometimes at work I look at words on the page. Written, they were. Writing, they are not.
And the difference? Imagination.
Freedom.
Possibility.
The words we use to get through the day, the reports and briefs and papers we read, these are language.
But writing is sublime, if only the merest trace.
Writing is conscious. And context.
And texture. And the relationships tying us together, binding us all if not by thought than by the atoms of which we are constituted.
And writing is meditation.
Writing touches and sets free the worlds our minds believe they cannot.
Perhaps this is why I crave it.

That is a great image sir, did you take that snap yourself?
No - I forgot to give credit to pixabay.com as I had to run from my lunch hour to a work meeting!
I'm glad you like it though:-)
pixabay.com is great. It let's you use images for free - they retain no copyright.
Writing for is a means to unbosom myself. I don't deem it a skill because it comes naturally to me. I just have to be open to it, let the words flow through me and at the end, something beautiful is created.
Nice piece.
Thanks Nonz
Writing are words, which are roaming around our mind. Writing gives us pleasure to express our inner self. Sometimes it is hard to write a single line.
Haha yes. Very true.

Thank you for the attempt.
Nothing can describe or portray writing in a better light like you have done.
