There is so much beauty in this world that far too often goes unnoticed
We are too busy going about our day like we are the most important beings on earth
Thinking only of what is best for ourselves.
Walking around with a selfish mind
It leads not to a community
But more a group of individuals
Not listening, only waiting for their turn to speak
Hearing others but not understanding

This is how we go about our day
Offended when things don't go our way

I have been victim of these thoughts as well
And I seek peace
Peace through clarity
Awareness of negative thoughts is one step closer to not following them
For thoughts come as the train does
At first you see but one car
but if you hold on to this thought, it is followed by many more
After having reached the last car of the train, you no longer know how you got there
Forgetting that you followed each negative thought to the next car
Suddenly you may find yourself in a place of anger
A fit of rage even, if you go for too long without stopping yourself.

But it is not too late
Slow down
Let's be cautious of our thoughts
For they can be posion

But fear not for they can be like sweet nectar as well
This sweet nectar comes in the shape of compassion
Patience
