MY take on the surfing capital of the Philippines, Siargao

in #writing6 years ago

One of the best islands the Philippine archipelago has to offer. Truly a magical place, on par with Peter Pan's Neverland, you won't age. Recently met this kid from Germany, he recently graduated from college, ended up surfing and chilling in Siargao for a couple of months now, not wanting to age.

Hope my gallery of photos below will do the Island justice. Do visit when you can, will probably upload other photos soon, as well as a travel guide on how to get there efficiently.

Getting to the island is a breeze, you can access it via sea and air

You will encounter a lot of wet moments, having a Go pro or a waterproof camera would go a long way in capturing the Island's charm

_SOF4068.jpg you'll see plenty of Europeans taking refuge from the winter

_SOF4224.jpg
The tidal pools of magpupungko are mystifying! the color of the water here are a beautiful shade of green!

_SOF4669.jpg
then, there's the night life, thought not as busy as Boracay, it's a safe haven for people who want to chill

_SOF4657.jpg
Mojitos are just one of the few drinks here the Island do best

_SOF4435.jpg
There are many things to do aside from sufing in Siargao

_SOF4572.jpgyou could even go kayaking or paddle boarding in an open lagoon and to the sea!

_SOF4636.jpg
House parties and clubs have a go at it once a week here, but if that isn't your cup of tea, you can always go for secluded bars like this

_SOF4689.jpgThe island has a variety of cuisines, Mexican, Spanish, French, Italian and some good old Filipino food

_SOF4608.jpgHope to see you here when we come back! Hope you love our photos
