RE: Mind Mapping Extra Chapter: Skiffs and Rockets

Awesome story, @rhethypo! I haven't read the rest of your agency series but this excerpt has intrigued me. I've been obsessed with VR and simulations since watching and reading Ready Player One. I've never been more intrigued or excited about a concept.

The rocket game scene had me laughing. I'm a big gamer and it reminded me of times I've played with friends and you turn on rocket mode. Or in Goldeneye (that old N64 game) you would play golden gun mode. You would try to set up rules but as you're explaining them someone would kill you. Frustration would set in as I tried to re-establish order and then someone else would come in and kill you. It always led to laughter or annoyance hahahaha

Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed reading it.

Yeah, I think I captured the spirit of gaming pretty well. It's a scene that I've watched play out multiple times in sandbox/multiplayer games like Minecraft, where everyone starts off trying to do something structured together but then it just quickly devolves into everyone running around like maniacs, lol.

Exactly hahahaha and I could totally feel that you've experienced that before. It can be extremely frustrating unless you're the one causing all the mayhem. Only then is it hilarious.

It happens to me all the time when I play Fortnite as well. You do playground mode with some friends, you establish rules, and then the guy who sucks the most just kills everyone when you're standing around or if you get up to go to the bathroom. No mercy lol
